Timing relays

SIRIUS timing relays

Electronic timing relays are used in control, starting, and protective circuits for all switching operations involving time delays. Thanks to their compact design, the 3RP20/25 timing relays are the ideal timer modules for industrial manufacturers of control cabinets, switchgear and control systems. Due to the narrow design, the 7PV15 timing relays are ideal in particular for use in heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems and in compressors.

We offer various timing relays according to your requirements

3RP25

Industrial enclosure

Multifunctional timing relays for standard rail mounting - for global use

The SIRIUS 3RP25 timing relays are available for all conventional applications in an industry-standard width of 22.5 mm or space-saving 17.5 mm. Up to 27 functions are integrated in the multifunctional timing relay - with a uniform wide voltage range of 12 to 240 V AC/DC.

3RP20

Contactor design

Compact timing relays for installation on standard mounting rails

The use of SIRIUS 3RP20 timing relays is recommended in particular wherever there is only minimal clearance between standard mounting rails and/or minimal mounting depth, e.g. in switchboxes, due to their reduced height and mounting depth.

7PV15

Installation design

Narrow timing relays for standard rail mounting in control cabinets and distribution boards

The SIRIUS 7PV15 timing relays in 17.5 mm enclosure are suitable for all standard applications and comply with the EMC requirements for residential applications. The changeover delay for star/delta (wye/delta) is adjustable from 50 ms to 1 s to ensure optimum adaptation to the respective application.

Function modules

For mounting onto contactors

3RA28 function modules for the assembly of starters and contactor assemblies for direct-on-line and star-delta (wye-delta) starting

The function modules include the key control functions required for the particular feeder, e.g. timing and electrical interlocking function, and act like a timing relay. They can be fitted quickly and easily directly onto the 3RT2 contactors and enable both ON-delay and OFF-delay switching of contactors.

Time-delay auxiliary switches

For mounting onto contactors

Solid-state time-delay 3RA28 auxiliary switches for contactor coil voltages

The solid-state time-delay auxiliary switches are designed for contactor coil voltages within the range of 24 to 240 V AC/DC (wide voltage range). Auxiliary switches for control and alarm signals are used specially for switching the smallest signals for electronics applications.

They are used to allow run-on of a pump or a fan, for example, similar to an OFF-delay timing relay or for delayed activation of a gate drive. Both the electrical and mechanical connection are made by simple snapping on and locking.

A varistor is integrated in the time-delay auxiliary switch to attenuate contactor coil switching overvoltages.
