Dr. Rudolf Freytag, CEO
Dr. Rudolf Freytag joined Siemens in 1992 and held various management positions in marketing, product management, engineering, strategy and consulting in Germany and the United States. He was, for example, Vice President in the Angiography and X-Ray business of Siemens Healthcare and CEO of Siemens Innovative Ventures.
Rudolf holds a Ph.D. in Physics and a Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of Regensburg, Germany.
Christian Wiesinger, CFO
Christian Wiesinger joined Siemens Technology Accelerator as CFO when it was first incorporated in 2001. He began his professional career as a test engineer for electrical safety at EMC in Vienna. Christian later joined Siemens Austria as a Finance Manager Sales for IT solutions in the retail and financial services sector, followed by various management positions in finance and business administration at Siemens Nixdorf and Siemens AG in Munich. Christian holds a Masters degree in business administration from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration.
Nadine Hüttl, Team Assistant
Nadine Hüttl joined Siemens Technology Accelerator in 2017 as an administrative and commercial Team Assistant. Previously, she worked for different Siemens divisions as a Recruiter and Commercial Consultant. Nadine completed a professional commercial apprenticeship at Siemens. She also holds a certificate in international project and business management and is a certified supervisor for trainees.
Denis Bassler, Venture Director
Denis Bassler joined Siemens Technology Accelerator in 2019 as Venture Director. He previously worked at a global management consultancy as a senior manager of digital transformation and automotive practice, spending more than 3 years in Silicon Valley and the Greater Seattle area. Denis holds a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, majoring in product development. He studied at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Dr. Georg Bodammer, Senior Venture Director
Dr. Georg Bodammer joined Siemens Technology Accelerator in 2008 as Senior Venture Director. He was previously operations manager for P-OLED microdisplay volume production for MicroEmissive Displays Group plc (MED) at its Dresden facility.
Previously, Georg held positions with Edinburgh-based MED that included silicon processing, electronic packaging, and quality assurance. Prior to joining MED he was a researcher at the University of Edinburgh. Georg received a PhD in physics from the University of Edinburgh for his research on the alignment of ferroelectric liquid crystals on CMOS silicon. He studied physics at the University of Karlsruhe and the University of Cambridge (UK).
Stephan Buchholz, Senior Venture Director
Stephan Buchholz joined Siemens Technology Accelerator in 2013 as Venture Director. Previously, he held various positions in account and regional sales management in the telecommunications industry. Earlier in his career he worked as systems engineer for the development of digital broadcasting systems. Stephan lived and worked in the Asia-Pacific region for more than 8 years. Stephan holds a Master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Erlangen/Germany, and a Masters in European science from the University of Aachen/Germany (RWTH).
Dr. Markus Dehler, Senior Venture Director
Dr. Markus Dehler joined Siemens Technology Accelerator in 2005 as Senior Venture Director. He previously worked at Siemens Mobile Devices as project leader for platform development. Since joining Siemens in 2001 Markus has held various positions in a number of Siemens divisions, including Siemens Management Consulting (SMC) where he was responsible for strategy, benchmarking and restructuring projects. Markus holds a PhD from the WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in Koblenz. He studied electrical engineering and business administration at the Technical University of Darmstadt and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Philipp Walczyk, Venture Director
Philipp Walczyk joined Siemens Technology Accelerator in 2019 as Venture Director. He previously worked for a global consulting firm within their strategy and operations practice. He supported clients in developing new business models and helped to innovate corporate entities. Philipp graduated as Master of Science in mechanical engineering and management at the Technical University of Darmstadt, majoring in HMI and corporate finance.
