BASTIEN & BASTIENNE
Light opera by W. A. Mozart (Salzburg Festival 2006, BFMI, UNITEL). A production in cooperation with the Salzburg Marionette Theater.
Mozart wrote the light opera Bastien und Bastienne in Vienna when he was only twelve years old. The love life of the young shepherdess Bastienne and the young shepherd Bastien is marred when a rich noblewoman from the city captures Bastien's attention. But the advice of the wise wizard Colas and especially the never-extinguishing love of the shepherd couple let the story finally end well.
