THE MAGIC FLUTE FOR CHILDRENOpera by W. A. Mozart (Salzburg Festival 1982, ORF).
It was a legendary action for the music theater audience: Christian Boesch had the idea to create the Magic Flute for children and to narrate it as Papageno. Boesch thus introduces a young audience to Mozart's mysterious fairy-tale world with charm, wit and pedagogical skill. Here, magic reigns through disenchantment: the giant snake threatening Tamino reveals its inner life - fifty children climb out.
