Below is a list of incentives and programs available in provinces and territories across Canada to aid and support our customers and society on the road to electrification of transportation.Municipal Climate Change Action Centre
The Municipal Climate Change Action Centre is a partnership between Albertan Municipalities, Rural Municipalities of Alberta and the Government of Alberta. Funding is available for technical assistance, education to municipalities, schools, and community organizations, to help in lowering energy costs, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and improve climate resilience.
EV Multi Unit Rebates
The program provides apartment and condo buildings with rebates for EV chargers.
Home EV Charger Rebate
Owners or residents of single-family homes in BC, Canada that purchase and install an eligible Level-Two (L2) EV charger can receive a rebate of up to a percentage of the costs while funding lasts. This offer is also available to duplexes and townhouses with private garages or dedicated parking spaces.
Workplace EV Charging Rebate
Workplace owners that purchase and install eligible EV chargers could receive a rebate for the costs (up to a specified percentage) while funding lasts. A business may apply for a maximum of four workplace sites for the rebate. (May be subject to change).
Scrappage Incentive Program
EV-related Incentive Program which provides individuals who sell their gas-powered car for a zero emission vehicle, a monetary reward.

The Atmospheric Fund
This funding program collaborates with stakeholders in the private, public and non-profit sectors who have ideas and opportunities for reducing carbon emissions. They advance the most promising concepts by investing, providing grants, influencing policies and running programs.The program is keen to support the development and implementation of a strong EV Strategy for the City of Toronto as well as strong, EV-supportive policies at the provincial and federal levels.

The Roulez vert program of the Government of Québec encourages the acquisition of new and used electric vehicles and the installation of charging stations.

Multi-Residential Charging Rebate
Financial assistance is available for the acquisition, lease and installation of one or more 240 VAC charging stations for multi-unit residential buildings.

Plug in NB
Residents or organizations who receive a vehicle rebate through the Plug-In NB Rebate Program are eligible to claim a percentage of the cost to purchase and install one (1) new Level-Two (L2) EV charger.

Universal EV Incentive
The Government of Prince Edward Island is now offering the most generous electric vehicle (EV) incentive in Canada by providing monetary incentives to Islanders who purchase a new or used EV. In addition, Islanders who utilize the PEI Universal EV Incentive (both BEV and PHEV) will receive a free Level-Two (L2) charger.

Canada Infrastructure Bank

Previously worked on projects with public transit owners and service providers across the country on Zero-Emission Buses (ZEB), light rail transit, bus rapid transit, subways, transit-oriented developement, and more.
Zero Emission Transit Fund (ZETF)
The $2.75 billion Zero Emission Transit Fund offers support to public transit and school bus operators across Canada who are electrifying their fleets. Funding is available for not-for-profit organizations and academic institutions who also have experience in the field of transport electrification.
Active Transportation Fund
The first-ever Active Transportation Fund will provide $400 million over five years to support a modal shift away from cars and toward active transportation. Transportation Fund will invest in projects that build new and expanded networks of pathways, bike lanes, trails and pedestrian bridges.Grants of up to $50,000 for applicants who wish to undertake planning, design or stakeholder engagement activities and contributions of up to $50 million are available for capital projects.
Rural Transit Solutions Fund
The Rural Transit Solutions Fund seeks to help Canadians living in rural and remote areas get around their communities more easily and connect with their nearby communities. Eligible applicants can apply for funding to support zero-emission transit solutions (e.g. for the purchase of a zero-emission vehicle(s)) in their respective areas.
Zero-Emission Vehicle Awareness Initiative
ZEV Awareness Initiative program supports projects (funds) that aim to increase awareness, knowledge and public confidence in ZEVs and public charging and refueling infrastructure.
Green Municipal Fund - Signature Initiative Pilot Project
ZEV Awareness Initiative program supports projects (funds) that aim to increase awareness, knowledge and public confidence in ZEVs and public charging and refueling infrastructure. The projects aims to provide knowledge, tools and/or skills that lead to or engage communities in climate action and enable communities to take action on climate change.

Home charging station grants available for the following provinces: Alberta, BC, Manitoba, NB, N&L, NS, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Ontario, PEI, QC, Saskatchewan, Yukon.

ZEV Infrastructure program aims to increase the deployment of EV charging station such as public places, on-street, workplaces, multi-unit residential buildings, commercial and public fleet.

Green Freight Program
Green Freight Assessment Program helps companies reduce their emissions and fuel costs and is comprised of two intiatives:
1. Assessment Projects - Companies headquartered in Canada can apply for funding towards the hiring of a third-party to perform a fleet energy assessment.
2. Implementation project - NRCan will fund a percentage of projects with companies who have completed a fleet energy assessment and are looking to implement some of the recommendations from their report.

Green Municipal Fund - Capital Project Reducing Fleet Fossil Use
This funding program offers a combined loan and grant funding for capital projects that reduce or avoid fossil fuel use in any vehicle that delivers municipal fleet. All municipally owned vehicles such as police cruisers and fire trucks and private vehicles that deliver municipal services are eligible.
Green Municipal Fund - Pilot Project Reducing Fleet Fossil Use
Funding for pilot projects that reduce or avoid fossil fuel use in any vehicle that delivers municipal services. Targets for projects should include a reduction of GHG emissions by 20% compared to an existing or modeled baseline measurement.
Green Municipal Fund - Signature Initiative Capital
Provides funding (combined loans and grants) to help with clients' capital projects on municipal pilot projects to make transformative changes in the energy/transportation sector.
Special note: High-ranking project loans and grants may be eligible for low-interest and/or higher funding.
Green Municipal Fund - Signature Initiative Pilot Project
This funding program is focused on municipal government pilot projects that create transformative change in the energy/transportation sector. Municipalities and municipal partners with a population of 20,000 or under may qualify for a grant of up to 80 per cent of eligible project costs under certain conditions.
