Information for customers of Agilion GmbH
Agilion GmbH, with its headquarters in Chemnitz, Germany, was acquired by Siemens AG on April 1, 2018. The company’s business is currently being integrated into Siemens structures and sales channels.
- Your existing contracts with Agilion GmbH will continue to be processed as usual through Agilion GmbH (with the potential involvement of Siemens employees).
- Siemens will continue all business under the name SIMATIC RTLS. This overview will inform you about any changes relevant to Agilion GmbH customers.
Existing Agilion GmbH products will gradually be transferred to the Siemens Mall and Siemens Industry Online Support (SIOS). The products will be adapted to the Siemens design – meaning, for example, that the label and type plate will change. Compatibility with Agilion components is a high priority so that, as a rule, a function-compatible successor type will be offered. If required, we will gladly support you by developing a migration strategy (see “Contacts at Siemens”).
As part of the conversion to Siemens, the products will also receive new Siemens product numbers. The following table shows the new Siemens product numbers for all Agilion order numbers that have been specified so far:
Agilion order numbers that are not included in the table will be assigned new Siemens order numbers within the next few months (see “Current information”).
