Industrial Energy
Concentrate on your core business – we manage power, steam, heating and cooling
When power, steam, heating or cooling are available in line with demand at any time, you have the ideal premises for industrial manufacturing processes in place. Leading to higher competitiveness, efficient energy systems and facilities for industrial processes contribute to a substantial extent to decreasing operational cost and emissions. Are you well-prepared for the future?
We, as an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), provide the entire portfolio of products and solutions at your disposal to supplying reliable, and economically as well as environmentally efficient energy, e.g. from residual gases. Siemens Gas and Power integrates the profound Siemens expertise about industrial processes into fit-for-purpose energy solutions and develops customized end-to-end business models along the entire plant life cycle. Together, we will shape the future of industrial energy.
In this manner Siemens becomes an Original Equipment Consultant (OEC): The analysis of all processes is the basis of investigating potential and determining all Siemens manufactured system components. Comprehensive services from planning to commissioning to life cycle services complement the offering to generate power, steam, heating and cooling as well as power transmission.
To improve their competitiveness, we co-create with our customers an optimal, future-proof energy system - based on our deep know-how about industrial processes, our expertise in the energy sector, and our competence in business modelling including financing.Stefan Diezinger, Head of Industrial Business Sales
Industrial processes – understanding the issues
Understanding our customer is key! With Siemens Gas and Power Original Equipment Consultancy, our customer gets the right support on stepwise “going green” – not only, but also in heat-driven process industries.Thomas Tiemeyer, Manager Industrial Vertical Manufacturing
Reliable energy supply for industrial processes
According to the International Energy Agency, industry is responsible for approximately 38 % of the entire global energy use. Hence, secure, sufficient and sustainable energy supply is a key factor for the well-being and growth of societies – while efficiency has an impact on competitiveness of nearly all industrial sectors. In addition, for some industries turning into a prosumer, who consumes, produces and controls self-supplied energy, opens up new business opportunities, such as feeding excess power and heat into local grids and/or providing grid services.

Siemens to modernize industrial power plant from BASF in Germany with key components
Siemens has received an order from BASF Schwarzheide GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of BASF SE, to modernize the industrial power plant in Schwarzheide, Germany with key components. The plant provides electricity and process steam needed for the chemical plants at the Verbund site.
Grid infeed – power supply systems in flux
Cost efficiency, grid stability as well as sustainability and resource efficiency are the most important requirements for today's energy systems. By using new components, communication technologies and innovative network concepts, power supply networks are transformed into highly digital and automated intelligent infrastructures.
