Gothenburg 2016

From the 1st to 3rd of December the European cup of careers took place in Gothenburg, Sweden. At the biggest event of its kind anywhere in Europe, around 490 participants from over 35 countries pitched their skills against each other under the banner "Developing Skills = Creating a Future" in 38 qualification fields. Siemens was taking part as Lead Skills Partner with its own booth. Within the framework of the competition, Siemens provided the equipment for the vocational disciplines Industrial Control (Skill 19), Electrical Installations (Skill 18), Refrigeration/Air Conditioning (Skill 38). Furthermore, the machines provided for the skills CNC Milling (Skill 7) were equipped with Siemens CNC controllers.

São Paulo 2015

Siemens is product sponsor of WorldSkills São Paulo 2015

From August 11 to 16, 2015, the world cup of careers took place in Anhembi Park in São Paulo, Brazil. During the competition, the world champions in 50 disciplines was determined from more than 1,150 young skilled workers up to the age of 22 from all over the world. Siemens was supplying automation products for the skills Industrial Control (Skill 19), Electrical Installations (Skill 18), Polymechanics/Automation (Skill 1), Manufacturing Team Challenge (Skill 3), Industrial Mechanics Millwright (Skill D3) and Refrigeration/Air Conditioning (Skill 38). The machines provided for the skills CNC Milling (Skill 7), Manufacturing Team Challenge (Skill 3) and Plastic Die Engineering (Skill 43) were equipped with CNC controllers from Siemens. Siemens’ involvement in WorldSkills São Paulo 2015 was a highlight of the celebration of 110 years of Siemens in Brazil.
Leipzig 2013

From July 2 to 7, 2013, the world cup of careers took place in Leipzig under the auspices of German Chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel. During the competition, the world champions in 46 disciplines were determined from more than 1,000 young skilled workers up to the age of 22 from all over the world. As presenter for Industrial Control (Skill 19) and sponsor for Polymechanics/Automation (Skill 1) - Siemens was supplying modern industrial components from automation and drive technology. In addition to this, Siemens will provide competition equipment for the Electrical Installations discipline (Skill 18). For the disciplines CNC Turning, CNC Milling, Manufacturing Team Challenge and the featured profession Plastic Die Engineering, the company also provided the CNC control systems in cooperation with the venue naming right partner DMG/Mori Seiki. Thanks to Siemens, the competition took place with innovative products at the industrial level.
London 2011

Siemens is product sponsor of WorldSkills London 2011

The 41st WorldSkills Competition took place in London from October 5th to 8th, 2011. More than 950 of the best vocational students from over 51 countries/regions competed in 46 different disciplines. In excess of 1,000 Experts, VIPs, and 1000 Journalists visited the event, along with over 200,000 Visitors. The competitor with the highest overall score in all skills received the "Albert Vidal Award". We provided e.g. the micro automation controller LOGO! for Competition Skill 1: Polymechanics/Automation, and the SIMATIC products (S7-300 PLC, WinCC HMI Hard-/Software) as well as SINAMICS drive system for Skill 19: Industrial Control and we also supported the regional participants.
