Siemens Bank

Siemens Bank expands the product range of the Financial Services unit at Siemens for corporate customers. Siemens Bank’s clients primarily include companies, special purpose entities and public-sector debtors. The bank does not offer products to retail-banking customers. Siemens Bank is based in Munich and has currently offices in Germany, Great Britain and Singapore. The primary focus are European and Asian countries as well as selected emerging markets. Siemens Bank was established in 2010 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Siemens AG. It acts as an independent company, but profits from its integration into the financial companies of the Siemens Group. In August 2012, Moody’s Investors Services assigned first-time A1/P-1 issuer ratings to Siemens Bank GmbH. Since then the rating was confirmed frequently and the outlook is stable.

Banking Solutions
The business model of Siemens Bank has the following pillars: credit business, deposit business and risk management services. The banking solutions offered in the Branches in Great Britain and Singapore are currently limited to credit business and selected risk management services for Siemens Group companies.
Credit business
In its lending activities, Siemens Bank primarily offers mid- and long-term investment and project financing. As a result of the business focus of the Siemens Group, the following segments are particularly important: energy generation and distribution, transportation and infrastructure, healthcare and industry. The product range is complemented by ECA-covered financing, revolving lines of credit and guarantees.
Deposit business
The second pillar involves the deposit business. The focus of this business is on overnight and time deposits for Siemens Group companies and selected external companies.
Risk management services
Siemens Bank offers services involving ratings, risk management services and risk controlling as well as back office functions. The services are primarily provided to Siemens Group companies as well as to selected external customers.
