"Cowork - Siemens Real Estate" in Munich receives two awards

Design and functionality brought together

The coworking area at the Siemens location in Munich Perlach offers an inspiring environment for employees and business partners on approximately 800 square meters spread over two floors. It was opened in October 2017 and "Cowork – Siemens Real Estate" has since been honored with two Design Awards for its successful implementation.

With our Coworking Space in Munich Perlach, we have created an environment that stands for communication, creativity and agile working. Employees from the most diverse departments come together here and live the idea of co-creation. The main objective in designing the premises was to provide the coworkers with optimum support. The flexible equipment elements are essential for this.

Sabrina Menke, responsible at Siemens Real Estate for the development of workplace concepts for Siemens

The working environment was created by Siemens Real Estate in collaboration with Dina Andersen, D'NA – Unique Corporate Spaces, and the team from CSMM – architecture matters.

The working environment specialists and interior designers have succeeded in developing a multi-faceted and exciting space that reflects a wide variety of working scenarios: Whether workshop, concentrated work at the desk, agile project, networking with other coworkers or business event – the flexibility of the space opens up a wide range of possible uses.

This also convinced the "German Design Council" ("Rat für Formgebung"), which honored the "Cowork – Siemens Real Estate" project with two design awards: The ICONIC AWARDS 2018 ("Selection" in the category "Innovative Architecture") and the German Design Award 2019 ("Winner" in the category "Excellent Communications Design" for architecture and interior design).

The German Design Award, initiated in 2012, is one of the most recognized design competitions worldwide and enjoys a high reputation far beyond the specialist circles. The jury's reasoning for the German Design Award 2019: This agreeably open and contemporary decor has a youthful feel about it, thus rendering it flexible and spontaneous. A superb atmosphere with a ”new beginnings” feel.
