The company Bemberg & Cia. of Buenos Aires is chosen to represent Siemens & Halske (S&H)
1897
Guillermo Kexel becomes Schuckert & Co.’s agent in Buenos Aires. He is succeeded by Augusto Parcus in 1898
1908
Founding of the first Siemens subsidiary in Argentina, "Siemens-Schuckertwerke für die La Plata-Staaten Elektrizitätsgesellschaft mbH"
1914
Construction of Siemens’ first production facility in Argentina, with 400 employees
1930
Participation in the Sociedad Electro-Metallurgica Argentina
1931
Opening of the Siemens building on Avenida de Mayo in Buenos Aires
1951
Planning and construction of the San Nicolás power plant near Rosario (commissioned in 1956)
1954
Founding of Siemens Argentina S.A.

Signing of contracts with the national telephone company for the expansion of the Argentine communications network and for the construction of additional facilities (Ruta 8 plant)

The company moves into the new Panamericana switchgear plant

The Argentine government terminates contracts with Siemens

Spin-off of telecommunications activities and founding of the Equitel company
1994
Startup of the Atucha II nuclear power plant constructed by Kraftwerk Union (KWU)

Siemens provides a digital network linking the hospitals in the province of Cordoba

The BASF dispersion plant in Gral. Lagos, Argentina, is automated by Siemens
2004
A communications solution is installed for a luxury hotel in Buenos Aires

Siemens wins major contract for the turnkey construction of two combined cycle power plants in the provinces of Buenos Aires and Santa Fé

Inauguration of the first span of Buenos Aires City Metro Line H, becoming the first completely new line since the end of the 1940s

Siemens is awarded the construction of the most southern 500 kV transformer station in the world, located in the Santa Cruz province, Patagonia

Siemens Argentina moves to new premises in Munro, Buenos Aires, where the Siemens Office concept is implemented for the first time in the Austral-Andina Region

Supply of the steam turbines to close the cycles of Ensenada and Brigadier López fossil power stations
