Siemens Medical Engineering signs an agency agreement with Modern Pharmaceutical Company for all of the United Arab Emirates; the agreement is transferred to Scientechnic in 1978



Bahrain Markets in Manama is authorized as the agent representing the interests of Siemens AG in Bahrain



The foreign agencies in Bahrain, Oman, Qatar and Yemen are overseen by Siemens’ office in Dubai



Siemens wins an order to supply a frequency converter for a dry dock for Bahrain-based Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard (ASRY)



Siemens  constructs a gas turbine power plant in Riffa, near the capital Manama, for the Ministry of Works, Power and Water in a record time of only 15 months; the plant is expanded in 1979 and 1980
