1979

Two industrial turbines and electrical equipment are supplied to the Bai Bang Paper Company

 

1993

A representative office is opened in Hanoi and a subsidiary in Ho Chi Minh City

 

1996

Siemens supplies the first two magnet resonance tomography systems in Vietnam

 

1999

Siemens is selected as turnkey supplier for 720-MW combined cycle power plant Phu My 3, it is the first Built-Operate-Transfer project in Vietnam

 

2002

Siemens Ltd. is established in Hanoi

 

2004

Vietnam Railways orders 16 diesel-electric locomotives from Siemens

 

2005

Siemens is awarded a contract to construct the Power Island for Ca Mau I and II combined cycle power plants with a total capacity of 1,500 MW and the long-term maintenance service contract in 2008

 

2007

An order is received from Thep Viet Steel for the supply of a large Siroll bar mill (450,000 TPY)

 

2008

Siemens installs the first PET/CT molecular imaging system in Vietnam’s Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City

 

2010

Siemens provides equipment for the largest single cement production line in Asia-Cong Thanh cement project

 

2010

Bitexco Financial Tower – the tallest building in Ho Chi Minh City – is supplied with a Siemens Building Management System

 

2011

Vinmedicare, the first five-star hospital in Hanoi, receives numerous imaging equipments

 

2012

Siemens receives order from Formosa Heavy Industries Co. to supply continuous casting lines for Vung Ang steelmaking plant

 

2013

Siemens is awarded the long-term service program contract extension for Phu My 3 combined cycle power plant

 

2015

Delivery of high voltage drives to Thu Duc Water Plant phase III to EPC Passavant

 

2017

Siemens receives order to supply gas-insulated switchgear to Thong Nhat Substation of Hanoi Power Corporation
