Standardization through the Packaging Toolbox
Technology functions are the heart of packaging production machines. Despite the wide variety of machine types, many of these technology functions are identical. Exciting value of digital twins
One of our highlights is a digital packaging line consisting of three individual digital twins. We have a VFFS machine, a cartoner and palletizer. We will show that a machine builder can get an idea of how the machines work together in a line. No statistical methods are used, but only the real PLC program and the corresponding sensors. Based on the OMAC Mode and State model also errors can be simulated. With the simulated HMI and the complete digital line, machine operators can be conveniently and effectively trained on operations and troubleshooting, even before the machines are installed in the shop-floor.
Developing packaging machines easily with the Modular Application Creator
With the Modular Application Creator high-quality machine projects can be generated based on predefined & tested modules. These modules are selected according to the type of machine and merged according to the "plug & play" principle. To adapt a machine to the customer's requirements, just select the modules and configure them according to the specification. The predefined modules include features, which are often used for packaging machines like intelligent belt, or packaging standards like Weihenstephan or OMAC.
