About Us
The Controlling and Finance Assurance (CF A) department of Siemens, is an integration of the Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Control, Project Excellence, and Audit functions. Part of our mission is to provide objective foresight to help Siemens be excellent. We provide assurance to all Siemens' businesses on a global level while operating out of the following countries: China, India, Germany, Portugal, and The United States.
Digitalization & IT Audit
We provide assurance on key risks in Siemens’ digital environments forming the backbone of our company, application of emerging technology, cloudification, major IT transformation projects, new digital products and digital business models.
Enterprise Risk Management
We provide a company-wide enterprise risk management framework to actively manage risks and seize opportunities thereby enhancing the company’s resilience and fostering our risk culture which contributes to the success of our business.
Internal Control
We provide the Internal Control methodology, trainings, guidance and entity support, aggregate the overall results and evaluate the effectiveness of the Internal Control system – driving transparency and delivering assurance.
Project Excellence
We drive excellence in project management by providing governance with structured processes and responsibilities. We also offer comprehensive learning and certification programs while fostering a global community for our project leads.
Cybersecurity Audit and CF A Applications
We verify whether Siemens’ businesses have effective security measures in place across their IT/OT infrastructures. We digitalize and continuously improve our own CF A applications, through automation and data driven innovations to ensure smooth management of assurance processes.
Quality and Resource Management
We support the staffing of the audit engagement teams and are responsible for governance matters including setting standards and policies to ensure the quality of our work is driving credibility and trust between CF A and Siemens' businesses.

Operational & Financial Audit
We cover a wide range of operational and finance-related global audit topics such as project & solution business assurance, entity health checks, ESG and sustainability audits, value for acquisition reviews, etc.
Compliance Audit
We perform regulatory audits for Siemens Financial Services and Treasury. We also perform occupational safety audits and provide assurance on significant compliance risks including anti-corruption, export control, and antitrust.
