The topic of the End Customer Forum held on May 24, 2017, in Istanbul was “Digitalization in Food & Beverage.” There were important contributions from the Federation of Food and Drink Industry Associations of Turkey, from Dr. Kai-Stefan Schober of the Roland Berger consultancy firm, who gave the keynote address, as well as from all the local and international experts who were present. Some 120 participants representing leading companies in the food and beverage industry attended the event, along with Siemens Solution Partners who presented their solutions in the fields of baked goods and confectionery, edible oils, milk and fruit juices, and soft drinks at booths in our mini-trade fair area.
On October 4th, 2016, Siemens Peru hosted an End Customer Event for the water and wastewater sector at which proven experts presented solutions and projects for the industry on an extremely high level. These included representatives of AHK Peru, the University of Lima, and the Water Board – along with experts from Siemens Peru and Colombia as well as Solution Partners. Nikolaus Rösler from Partner Management also presented the latest topics from the Partner Program for the industry.
The event was attended by almost 60 customers and followed by a trade fair at which Solution Partners, AHK Peru, the University of Lima, and Siemens were exhibitors. It proved to be the ideal forum for outstanding networking and excellent discussions.
The first End Customer Forum: Food & Beverage was held for the first time in the Czech Republic on September 22nd of last year. Under the banner of “Industrie 4.0 in Food & Beverage”, a team of top-quality international experts gave a number of exciting and informative talks on the challenges and trends of Industrie 4.0. Speakers included representatives of the Czech Federation of Industry and keynote speaker Philip Staehlin, Managing Director of Roland Berger GmbH.
For participants, the event was an ideal opportunity to make important contacts, present projects, and intensify cooperation. It was rounded off by an extremely lively podium discussion that clearly demonstrated our Czech partners’ openness toward and interest in the topic of Industrie 4.0.
The topic of the second End Customer Forum for the food and beverage industry, held in Greece, was “Industrie 4.0 in Food & Beverage”. Once again, Siemens stressed its role as a leading technology partner for the industry. The forum was especially geared toward the top management of Greek F&B customers. The team of organizers welcomed around 110 participants, including local Solution Partners.
During a micro fair, Solution Partners also had an opportunity to network with end customers, present references, and gain new projects. Special thanks were due to representatives of Roland Berger GmbH who, as the event’s main speakers, offered an in-depth overview of the opportunities and challenges of Industrie 4.0 – and to the German-Greek Chamber of Industry and Commerce, members of which not only attended the event but were also active participants.
The Pharma Forum is the ideal platform for addressing current trends and challenges relating to process technology in the pharmaceutical industry. For the ninth Pharma Forum, around 150 customers and partners came to Basel to discuss issues such as “Cyber Security in Automation” and “Information Advantage instead of Flood of Data.”
The fourth End Customer Forum: Food & Beverage at the Leipzig Porsche plant attracted some 70 interested participants. End customers and Solution Partners discussed current issues and challenges in the industry and took advantage of the opportunity to discuss, make new contacts, and form partnerships.
The first partner conference in Tel Aviv was attended by current and potential Solution Partners as well as end customers. Among other things, its focus was on presenting the Partner Program, including an examination of the differences between Approved and Solution Partners. Another main topic was our offerings for the local water and wastewater market.
The first End Customer Forum in Greece was a complete success. The main topics of the event were “Water Networks Management Optimization” and “Energy Efficiency”. Participants included both end customers (municipalities) and EPCs, planners, and Solution Partners – all of them high-level managers and decision makers. As part of the event, water industry specialist Prof. Dr. Bongards from the University of Cologne gave a talk on developments in the water & wastewater industry over the next 10 to 20 years. A further highlight was a presentation in which an end customer and his Solution Partner demonstrated the savings that were achieved by implementing a solution with Siemens products.
