The task of green refineries is to make use of biomass and renewable energies by converting them into various intermediate and end products by utilizing a wide variety of technologies. We support operators of green refineries in ensuring that the processes in their plants run as flexibly, efficiently, and sustainably as possible. We are convinced that the resulting opportunities for climate protection, value creation, and resource efficiency are enormous. There are as many forms of renewable energy as there are ways of using them. Various biofuels, energy sources, and green chemicals can be produced from such biomass as corn, grass, algae, or solid waste and from such renewable sources as wind, solar, and hydro power. The high-quality by-products can also be used for animal feed or fertilizers.
