These modules are integrated within a SIMOTION D controller: the most performant motion controller available on the market. SIMOCRANE Basic Technology is a system comprising hardware and software packages to automate cranes. This supports you in obtaining the maximum performance from your crane application.
Reliable crane performance
SIMOCRANE Basic Technology enables and optimizes the motion control of the different axes of a crane, also interactively. Together with the SINAMICS S120 drives family, SIMOCRANE offers a high-performance drive system for total control of the motion and therefore provides the platform for automation of the crane.
The best productivity, flexibility and availability
The Basic Technology covers special motion control of all main drives such as hoisting gear, gantry, trolley gear, slewing gear, luffing gear, boom hoist, holding and closing gear of a crane.
Basic crane types with a lower level of automation are also supported with simplified crane functions integrated into the drive itself (SIMOCRANE Drive Based Technology). Modularity and scalability are key.
The application solution can be flexibly implemented for different types of mid-performance industrial cranes. Crane types like coil handling or ladle cranes used in industries such as steel, paper and shipbuilding are supported via SIMOCRANE Drive Based Sway Control.
