A vision for urban e-mobilityWhite paper: Integrating electric vehicle charging into urban infrastructure
Given the fact that CO2 emissions have hardly decreased in road transport since 1990, private and public transportation need to decarbonize fast. Having most people living in cities – and this share will even increase in the next decades – we need to speed up EV adoption by making the urban charging experience as convenient as possible.
However, in dense cities we face a bunch of challenges: among others, there is only scarce space, there are limited grid capacities, there is a lack of regulation. To overcome these issues, we need to identify relevant use cases and offer feasible solutions.
This white paper, created in collaboration with the Reuters Events, looks at the huge challenge ahead of us: how to accelerate sustainable road transport in cities by integrating the right charging infrastructure.
