RUGGEDCOM VDSL modems

Compact switches built to withstand harsh environments
The RUGGEDCOM RSL910 VDSL modem offers the flexibility to use legacy copper or optical infrastructure in harsh environments with two EoVDSL2 uplinks and two SFP uplinks.
The power to leverage existing infrastructure
The RUGGEDCOM RSL910 is a rugged 10-port managed Ethernet switch which supports Ethernet over VDSL2 (EoVDSL2) and allows up to 2.9 km LAN segments over telephone-grade cable at up to 85 Mbps with optional SFP slots supporting Gigabit and Fast Ethernet.
The RUGGEDCOM RSL910 helps to achieve cost efficiency by making it possible for rail and road operators to reuse existing copper cabling and achieve broadband speeds between equipment cabinets. Legacy systems can thus be tapped to run modern Ethernet-based applications, which enable reliable, low latency connectivity to control centers.
It is also approved and certified for use in transportation applications (EN50121-4, EN50121-3, EN 45545-2 and NEMA TS2).
Technology that meets industry requirements

Security information
In order to protect plants, systems, machines and networks against cyber threats, it is necessary to implement – and continuously maintain – a holistic, state-of-the-art industrial security concept. Siemens’ products and solutions only form one element of such a concept. For more information about industrial security, please visit.
