Designed for harsh environments, they provide a secure communications backbone for remote networks.The RUGGEDCOM RX1400 is a multi-protocol intelligent node that eliminates the need for extensive communication infrastructure by combining Ethernet switching, cellular (3G and 4G LTE), wireless LAN, routing, application hosting and firewall functionalities in one. It is equipped with an internal power supply and operates reliably in an extended temperature range of -40° C to +85° C without requiring internal fans for cooling. This industrial router supports high-speed fiber and cellular connectivity for backhaul. Furthermore, it ensures maximum network availability with dual micro-SIM capability for carrier redundancy or diversity, making the RX1400 ideal for network redundancy applications. It can optionally also support Wireless LAN 802.11 a/b/g/n interface (Access Point/ Client).

The RUGGEDCOM RX1400 with CloudConnect works as an industrial IoT gateway – an all-in-one solution for plug-and-play connectivity to all common cloud solutions e.g., MindSphere, Amazon Web Services and others. Superior performance for better communications
Connect up to four Ethernet devices with the RUGGEDCOM RM1224 router’s integrated 4-port switch. Two antenna connections (antenna diversity) allow operators to use multiple receive and transmit paths, increasing both signal quality and bandwidth.
Equipped with digital IO for applications, the RUGGEDCOM RM1224 also comes with redundant power supply inputs for bridging short-term failures.
