For seamless communications, global availability and excellent performance over long distances

RUGGEDCOM WIN subscriber units enable secure, long-range connectivity by extending IP networks over long distances to fixed and mobile users.

 

With wide frequency band support for worldwide deployments, these subscriber units offer excellent performance in non-line-of-sight (NLO) conditions. Supported applications and services include guaranteed data, VoIP, video, and other services based on advanced QoS.

RUGGEDCOM WIN5100 vehicular subscriber unit

This broadband wireless subscriber unit is not only compliant with the IEEE 802.16e standard, but also offers external RF connectors for use in fixed or mobile applications in harsh environments.

 

A self-learning subscriber device, the WIN5100 automatically detects the base station on the best available signal. This allows for plug-and-play installation and maintenance-free operation.

RUGGEDCOM WIN5100-V enhanced vehicular subscriber unit

Built to sustain shock and vibration in compliance with heavy rail industry certifications, the WIN5100-V can be installed on vehicles such as trucks and tractors as well as in fixed locations susceptible to vibration, such as runways.

 

The WIN5100-V supports 9-36 VDC and comes with an optional GPS receiver for accurate location sharing with devices behind the subscriber unit or over-the-air using the 802.16e protocol.

RUGGEDCOM WIN5200 outdoor subscriber unit

This IEEE 802.16e-compliant broadband wireless subscriber unit comes with a built-in directional antenna for use in harsh environments.

 

Specifically designed for point-to-multipoint broadband wireless access applications, the WIN5200 greatly simplifies installation with LEDs for signal strength alignment, automatic connection to the strongest serving base station, and automated service provisioning.

Powered by OFDMA radio technology, RUGGEDCOM WIN7000 and WIN7200 base stations weather harsh environments and go the distance with non-line-of-sight (NLOS) operations.

 

They ensure robustness as well as high reliability, availability and efficiency by leveraging link adaption algorithms, modulation and coding to continuously adapt to prevailing link conditions.

RUGGEDCOM WIN7000 high power base station

This high power, broadband wireless base station is designed for long-range deployments within licensed frequency bands under harsh environments.

 

Compliant with standard IEEE 802.16e, the RUGGEDCOM WIN7000 delivers maximum coverage where regulations permit high-power operation. The single sector design accommodates as many sectors as required at a given site, while keeping in mind coverage, bandwidth, and subscriber-density considerations.

RUGGEDCOM WIN7200 standard power base station

This single sector, lightweight broadband wireless base station provides connectivity to fixed or mobile end points, and can be easily installed on poles, streetlamps, or walls.

 

The RUGGEDCOM WIN7200 supports unlicensed frequency bands in harsh environments and is IEEE 802.16e compliant. Connected via a single Power-over-Ethernet connection and easily provisioned, WIN7200 reduces operational cost and complexity.

High immunity

The proliferation of IP networking technology in real-time, mission critical control applications requires a level of immunity to electromagnetic interference (EMI) beyond what is currently delivered by commercial grade networking products. Technology used in RUGGEDCOM products is able to withstand all EMI type tests required by IEC 61850-3 without any communications loss or delays. Products with this technology also qualify as IEEE 1613 class 2 error-free devices. This innovation – known as Zero Packet Loss™ technology – is designed to provide the same level of EMI immunity as protective relaying devices.

Trusted security

RUGGEDCOM products do not just offer immunity against electromagnetic interference, they also come with a variety of advanced cybersecurity features. These include multilevel user passwords, SSH/SSL (128/256-bit encryption), enable/disable ports, 802.1X port security, VLAN (802.1Q) to segregate and secure network traffic, RADIUS centralized password management, as well as SNMPv3 authentication and encryption.
