APMF 2022: DIGITAL PROCESS DESIGN & OPERATIONS

LONDON, 18–19 October 2022

Towards a responsive & sustainable process industry

We’re pleased to announce that the 2022 Advanced Process Modelling Forum (APMF) will take place in London on 18 and 19 October 2022 at the Clayton Hotel Chiswick.

At a time when climate imperatives and the need to decarbonize are driving the need for great changes in the process industries, it is fortuitous that digitalization brings at least some of the answers.

A key focus of the Forum is the ability of digital process technologies to significantly accelerate process innovation and development while at the same time enhancing manufacturing efficiency in existing processes to reduce emissions and waste.

Registration and more information is available here.

Format

The main conference on 18-19 October, will comprise customer and partner presentations plus a showcase of new developments in Siemens PSE’s gPROMS technology. Plenary sessions will be followed by two parallel tracks:

  • The Formulated Products stream, covering Pharmaceuticals, Food, Beverage & FMCG, Specialty & Agrochemicals, and Minerals & Mining sectors
  • The Energy & Chemicals stream, covering Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Petrochemicals and Energy & Environment, including clean energy and sustainable process development.

In addition, we will be hosting a series of workshops a day before the APM Forum (Monday 17 October). The event will also include a poster session covering academic developments and collaborative projects, demonstration stations, and networking activities.

Poster presentations & best poster competition

Present your research to leading industrial organisations by submiting your poster for the 2022 Advanced Process Modelling Forum. The research presented in the poster should make substantial use of gPROMS based modelling (using any gPROMS family product) in order to achieve the results described.

The posters will be displayed on three days in the general refreshment areas or the main conference room, and will thus provide numerous opportunities for viewing. Each delegate at the Forum will receive a booklet of poster abstracts. There will also be a dedicated poster session before lunch on one of the two days (TBA). One author from each accepted submission will receive a 50% discount on the standard academic entrance fee for the Forum main conference. Only posters submitted by 9 September 2022 can be considered.

In additon, the author of the best poster may also be given a speaker slot.

Last year’s poster presentations can be viewed here.

The Forum is an excellent opportunity to have your work seen by key industry decision makers in R&D and engineering departments of large process industry organisations, as well as to meet potential employers.
