SIMATIC ET 200SP and ET 200MP are part of the new generation of automation devices that fully exploit the benefits of a new level of integration offered by the TIA Portal engineering framework, the S7-1200 and S7-1500 controllers, and the latest generation of basic and comfort panels. Especially for the process industry, the ET 200SP HA offers a modern customized solution in combination with the SIMATIC PCS 7 process control system.

I/O systems for use inside and outside control cabinets

The modular design allows the ET 200 systems to be easily scaled and expanded in small steps: digital and analog inputs/outputs, CPUs with full S7-1500 functionality, safety technology, motor starters, frequency converters, and various communication and technology modules.

From planning to operation of a plant, consistent data handling is becoming increasingly important. The ET 200 distributed periphery system receives data and forwards it to the entire OT/IT environment.

A wide portfolio of communication- and interface modules for e.g. IO-Link, CAN, Ethernet IP or Modbus TCP guarantees a smooth data distribution.

Particularly when engineering many I/O signals, consistent data handling not only saves time, but also minimizes configuration errors and ensures cost reduction.

Here, Siemens offers a coordinated tool landscape for the entire customer workflow, which significantly simplifies the configuration of the decentralized periphery. By using standardized interfaces, additional engineering applications such as EPLAN can be integrated very easily.
