Puma required a highly efficient use of energy, generated exclusively from renewable sources, and optimum interplay of the heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, lighting and shading systems. While the thermally activated building structure (TABS) of the administrative building demanded highly sophisticated control functions, the room automation had to be able to accommodate varying room requirements.
System integrator IPM – a Siemens Solution Partner – installed the fully integrated Desigo building automation and control system. It controls the TABS with Desigo TABS Control using innovative control system strategies, and individually adjusts the heating and cooling via the concrete ceilings, facade-mounted fan convectors and the radiators. Desigo RX room controllers accommodate the requirements of different room types and work on the basis of demand. The Desigo Insight management station allows central monitoring of the building technology.
The TABS and individual room control ensure high energy efficiency. The integration of all the buildings in Desigo allows for convenient room functions. The user-friendly interface reduces operating expenses while increasing safety. The simple and flexible extensibility of the system safeguards the investment, and there is a competent contact available to deal with any queries.
