SIMOTICS electric motors are synonymous with quality, innovation and the highest efficiency. We cover the complete range of industrial motors – synchronous as well as asynchronous: from standard electric motors through servomotors for motion control applications up to high voltage and DC motors. This is all based on more than 150 years of experience. In the meantime, Siemens electric motors are an integral component of Digital Enterprises.
Less effort, fewer delays, more convenience, safety and efficiency: The SIDRIVE IQ digital platform offers innovative solutions for many use cases involving digitally enhanced drive systems. SIDRIVE IQ tells you how your drive components are doing. The app for MindSphere has a variety of functions that help you to maintain and operate your digitally enhanced motors, converters, etc. These include aggregated statistics and localization of the device fleet as well as individual KPI overviews and logbook and product profiles. In addition, SIDRIVE IQ links to specific product documentation and information.
Low-voltage motors and electric motors for motion control applications
The Drive Technology Configurator (DT Configurator) supports you when selecting the optimum electric motor for your application – including the applicable options and the matching converter. The Configurator directly transfers the data of the selected motor into the Siemens Industry Mall shopping cart. All you have to do is click to confirm – and the industrial motor is already on its way to you. The DT Configurator also provides comprehensive documentation – from the data sheet, through operating instructions up to 2D and 3D dimension drawings and certificates. Electric motors specifically adapted to address marine applications, cranes, steelplants and more are also available. You can contact your local Siemens partner in your region when ordering special motors for specific sectors.
However, when it comes to a specific project involving drive components with high power ratings, i.e. where high-voltage motors and medium voltage converters have to be selected and engineered, either individually or as part of a system, then we recommend using SIZER WEB ENGINEERING.
