Distributed Frequency Converters

The distributed frequency converters are perfect for demanding conveyor applications in industrial environments where communication-capable drives are required. This applies in particular to the automotive industry, distribution logistics and airports. While SINAMICS G120D and SINAMICS G110D are equipped with protection class IP65, the SINAMICS G110M can even convince with IP66.

The distributed converter for basic applications

SINAMICS G110D inverters in degree of protection IP65 – as a simpler version of the higher-performance SINAMICS G120D it still offers the same advantages. These include the same drilling template, low-profile design, rugged metal enclosure, ability to be located close to the motor and standard connector. Further, it has an optional maintenance switch directly at the device, a manual-automatic switch, Quick-Stop function, integrated brake control – to name but a few of the functions. Communication, bus parameterization and diagnostics via AS-Interface permit reliable maintenance and plant-wide engineering. The digital and analog inputs provided on the device allow sensors and actuators to be simply connected directly to the drive. Thanks to the wide range of power ratings up to 7.5 kW, almost all basic conveyor-related plants and systems can be designed without requiring a cabinet. Using its AS-Interface connection, SINAMICS G110D can be integrated as module into the Totally Integrated Automation environment.

SINAMICS G120D Distributed Converters

The specialist for demanding, distributed applications – with positioning capability

The distributed frequency inverter SINAMICS G120D belongs to the SINAMICS G series. It provides the same benefits such as modularity and an innovative safety technology (Safety Integrated), and has a special design and a high degree of protection. With an emmidiate effect it has new functions like positioning, extended safety functions and safety digital inputs and outputs. Furthermore it supports PROFIengergy as the first SINAMICS drive. Thanks to the wide range of power ratings up to 7.5kW almost all inverter-related applications can be consequentially designed without electrical cabinets. Digital inputs and outputs at the unit allow sensors and actuators to be directly connected-up at the drive. The input signals can either be directly processed in the inverter and autonomous (independent) local responses can be initiated – or the input signals can be transferred and processed to a superoir control via Feldbus.

The distributed converter for SIMOGEAR geared motors

Distributed SINAMICS G110M inverters belong to the SINAMICS G series. The distributed inverter in a high degree of protection (up to IP66) has a modular design, comprises a Control Unit and Power Module – and is designed to be used as an inverter integrated in SIMOGEAR geared motors.
