Testing Laboratories Overview

Testing laboratories at the Schaltwerk Berlin

For more than 90 years, we have been testing electrotechnical equipment in high and medium voltage. Thanks to our long-standing experience and high level of expertise, we are able to perform tests on electircal componets of all kinds and from several fields. Our state-of-the-art test engineering and our high degree of automation ensure the productivity and short time delivery of the test documentation.
Accreditation & Standards

Internationally accredited performance

The testing laboratory is accredited by the Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH (DAkkS) to perform internationally recognized tests according to ISO/IEC 17025. We are also a member of PHELA (Gesellschaft für elektrische Hochleistungsprüfunfgen), an association of high-power testing laboratories in Germany and Switzerland that is associated with the international Short-Circuit Testing Liaison (STL).

We issue worldwide recognized test certificates and reports. The documents have the accreditation according to ISO/IEC 17025, which imply tests conducted on high-voltage switchgear and on components of electric power equipment.

Our testing laboratories are subject to regular and strict quality assurance. This means, all market requirements can be optimally fulfilled. 

Test are performed according to IEC, DIN, EN, VDE, ANSI, IEEE, GOST, national and intenational standards or according to customers specifications.

Test documents

We provide globally recognized test documents of electrotechnical components that meet the highest of requirements.

Competitive advantages by worldwide recognized testing documents

Our test certificates and reports are international recognized, these being known by worldwide costumers and users of electrotechnical components. They make a selling point in the market entry. We are also able to customize the documentation according to the needed relevance of performed tests and standards. Hence, all possible requirements can be taken into consideration.
 

Because of the wide-ranging automation of the documentation process, we can deliver all test documents shortly after completion of the tests. Further documentation material, such as video documentations, high-speed images, and thermal images, can be provided on request.
