The Sitras® MDC modular digital controller is used in the power supply for DC railways in mass transit and mainline systems up to 3,000 V DC, and in the eHighway system. As a DC protection device it protects DC switchgear and contact line systems against critical operating conditions and detects short-circuits during the current rise before the maximum short-circuit currents are reached.
