From Spain to Russia and as far as China: The high-performance Velaro family can be operated in four climatic zones. It also demonstrates its adaptability to different track gauges. The Spanish and Chinese versions are based on Europe's 1,435-mm standard gauge, while Velaro Russia is built for that country's 1,520-mm broad gauge
