Siemens provides Myanmar’s National Control Center for its national GRID as well as two Regional Control Centers together with 70 substation automation systems, all of which help distribute electricity efficiently throughout the country with over 52 million people.
~ 35% of Myanmar’s total Electricity (~ 3000MWhr) has been transmitted through Siemens Circuit Breakers every hour since 10 years ago.
Siemens supports education of university students by granting 820 licenses of state of the art automation software packages to 35 main universities in Myanmar for technical training on automation technologies. This is to enhance students’ automation skills and to develop the country’s technical workforces which currently play a significant role in the future of manufacturing industry.
