Herbert Klausner
Chief Executive Officer, Siemens EES K.S.C.C.
Herbert Klausner is the Chief Executive Officer of Siemens’ operations in Kuwait since October 1, 2016.
Klausner joined the regional management team from the Power and Gas Division at Siemens AG in Germany, where he headed Large Gas Turbine Berlin Operations. His career at Siemens spans 34 years, including positions in Kuwait, Indonesia, Austria and Germany.
Klausner started his career with Siemens in 1979 in Austria. Since then, he has worked across different teams and countries. His current post marks a return after eight years to Kuwait, where he held the position of Group Manager for Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution, Automation & Drives, Industry Solutions, and Siemens Building Technologies.
As Kuwait’s strategy focuses on strengthening the economy and supporting social and human development, Klausner is channeling his experience toward supporting these goals through the company’s offerings across electrification, automation and digitalization. He continues to build on Siemens’ strong presence in Kuwait dating back to 1959.
Klausner has an Electronics Engineering degree from TGM in Vienna, Austria. He enjoys spending time with his family, mountain biking and reading in his free time.
Karna Mohan is the Chief Financial Officer and Commercial Manager of Siemens EES K.S.C.C. in Kuwait, since November 2017. He is also the Country Controller for the Energy Management Division in Kuwait. As CFO, Karna leads the financial operations in Kuwait, overseeing the financial planning and analysis, accounting, business support, treasury; risk and internal control; information technology as well as tax functions. Karna brings over 18 years of financial and commercial experience to the position.
Karna joined Siemens in 2010 in the Corporate Finance Audit (CF A) department based in Delhi, India. He then moved to Munich, Germany as Director of Transaction Support CF A, where he worked extensively on mergers & acquisitions. In 2016 he took on the role of Head of CF A for Middle East, leading all audit activities for Siemens in the Middle East including Operational, Financial, IT, and Compliance topics.
Prior to joining Siemens in 2010, Karna worked with KPMG, one of the leading professional services organizations, for ten years based out of office in Delhi, India and the Global Headquarters in Amstelveen, Netherlands.
Karna is a Chartered Accountant and holds a degree in Commerce from Delhi University.
