Helmut von Struve
Chief Executive Officer, Siemens UAE and Middle East
After two decades at Siemens, with stints in the U.A.E., Libya, Germany and Pakistan, von Struve became the Chief Executive Officer of Siemens in the Middle East and the United Arab Emirates in May 2020. Prior to his current role, von Struve was the Managing Director of Siemens in Pakistan, a position he held since 2015.
As an engineer and business executive, he has been an advocate of implementing technologies in infrastructure and industries that improve our lives and protect our planet. These days his focus is on melding technologies – such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, additive manufacturing, 5G and the future of automation – into a cohesive bundle that will create immense value for customers.
During his career, von Struve has held a series of senior management positions across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In 2014, von Struve was appointed CEO of the Libya Branch of Siemens AG, and from 2009 to 2013 he served as Managing Director of Siemens Wind Power GmbH, Germany and CEO of Siemens Energy Service’s Wind Power division for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
In 2006, von Struve was appointed Managing Director of Siemens Power Generation Oil and Gas and Industrial Application Service, Middle East Region.
Von Struve began his career in 1997 as a Process Engineer with ThyssenKrupp Uhde Germany. He earned a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Technical University in Darmstadt, Germany. He is also a Certified Director from the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance.
Stefan Werner is the Chief Financial Officer of Siemens in the Middle East. His career with Siemens spans more than 30 years in regional and global leadership roles across several business area, including Building Technologies, Mobility and Industry. Stefan has worked in Europe and the Middle East and has a degree in economics from the University of Erlangen in Germany.
