The Malaysian Oil & Gas Services Exhibition & Conference (MOGSEC) was conceptualized as a platform for the Malaysian Oil & Gas Industry in 2012 by the Malaysian Oil and Gas Services Council (MOGSC). The event is one of its kind as it champions the development of local companies which dabble in the Oil & Gas industry. The iconic identity of the MOGSEC series is derived from its exclusivity towards showcasing home-grown talent and promoting Malaysia as the region's Oil & Gas hub.

Siemens Malaysia, President & CEO, Mr Indranil Lahiri speaks to Minister of International Trade & Industry (MITI), YB Darrell Leiking about the Siemens Remote On-site Service (SiROS) at the exhibition booth.

During its installation in 2016, over 313 exhibitors as well as 5,992 professionals and trade visitors participated in the event - recording a total of 232 scheduled meetings between attendees and exhibitors through B2B business matching platforms. The event drew impressive participation from organizations and individuals involved in the Oil & Gas value chain, and some of the region's largest industry players such as PETRONAS, Sapura Energy Berhad, Muhibbah Engineering and Boustead - just to name a few.

MOGSEC 2018 promises to be the best one yet as over 94% of exhibitors in 2016 have pledged to return, with the theme of 'Catalyzing Regional Growth in Oil & Gas'. The event will continue to advocate for Malaysia to assume the role as the regional hub for Oil & Gas services and accelerate growth of the sector beyond Asia. The event also presents a perfect opportunity for delegations within the region to witness the technologies and innovations on exhibition as well as meet key Malaysian industry players for potential partnerships and investments.

There was also a special 30-minute presentation by a Siemens Malaysia representative at the Innovation Centre on Siemens solutions and technologies for the Oil & Gas industry that push the boundaries of innovation.
