Siemens – A Global Power House
In fiscal 2018, which ended on September 30, 2018, Siemens generated revenue of €83.0 billion and net income of €6.1 billion. As of September 30, 2018, Siemens had around 379,000 employees.
The company’s portfolio is well adapted for modernization, construction and financing of Nigeria’s critical infrastructure, particularly in areas such as automation, energy management, manufacturing and a lot more.
In addition to major power plants in Nigeria, Siemens has supplied and installed more than 100 small gas turbines and compressors in onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities. In partnerships with local Nigerian companies – such as GIL Automations Limited, Mikano International Limited, and Martsie Limited – Siemens has delivered projects ranging from low-voltage distribution systems to traffic lighting and control systems, and the supply and servicing of building technology solutions.
Furthermore, local subcontractors were trained and certified by Siemens for efficient and professional delivery of power distribution services to local customers. And the Siemens Power Academy in Lagos delivered a variety of power training courses to customers in banking, manufacturing, construction and many other sectors.
Siemens Nigeria has developed into a strong and highly respected company. Good corporate citizenship is intrinsic to the company’s business activities. Siemens is fully committed to a business strategy that generates profits while contributing to the well-being of the societies it serves. Siemens’ goal is to ensure that Nigeria continues to maintain a strong position in Africa’s dynamic, knowledge-based economy.
