SIDOOR offers convenience and safety for everything from simple commissioning to preventive condition-oriented maintenance. The door management system is suitable for all doors because it is manufacturer-independent. The intelligent system solution automatically calculates the optimal drive characteristics for the respective door and ensures these are continuously maintained in accordance with the guidelines of the application. The data accrued during operation can be exported and analyzed either locally or globally as a means of avoiding unnecessary maintenance work and downtimes. Because the door system is manufacturer-independent, suitable communication interfaces can be easily added.

SIDOOR door controls are characterized by the fact that the open and closed door positions are always two defined states. The door is continuously controlled between these positions according to the guidelines of the application in question. 
“One-button operation” starts a defined learn run, during which the system automatically determines the door width and dynamic door weight. The optimum door drive characteristics are automatically calculated and continuously maintained.

Automatically moving safety doors are used in industrial environments increasingly important. The new firmware feature of SIDOOR, in conjunction with MindSphere, the cloud-based open operating system from Siemens, already enables worldwide access to diagnostics values ​​and thus plannable maintenance measures - for a minimum of machine and plant downtimes. The greater the friction, the more power the electric motor needs to move the door. Via the bus interface of the SIDOOR system ATD430W, the current value can be read out and transferred to the SIMATIC S7-1500 or SINUMERIK control. The motor current is not constant over the entire doorway, for example, a much higher current is required for the acceleration of the door. With the aid of an arithmetic mean current value, which is generated in the SIMATIC S7-1500 or SINUMERIK, trend tracking is possible. This value is stored centrally in the MindSphere as a diagnostic parameter for the mechanical condition of the door. If specified limit values ​​are exceeded, these can be viewed and analyzed in the MindApp FleetManager by service personnel and, if necessary, targeted maintenance measures can be initiated.

SIDOOR also supports the automatic reopening of machine protection doors (reversing). For this reason, doors with a force of up to 150N and a maximum kinetic energy of 10J can be driven. This means that faster door movements are possible in compliance with standards, even with larger door masses.

For higher performance, even in demanding applications, additional non-contact protective devices (such as light curtains) can be connected directly to the door control unit.

SIDOOR ATD401W

the standalone solution

The door control SIDOOR ATD401W  is the ideal solution for automous opoeration offering a relay output module. It provides the output signals  "open" "closed" and "reversing"  for further processing. 
Parameterization of the ATD401W  can be achieved by using the integrated terminal module or conveniently via a PC-based SoftwareKit.

Platform screen doors

Automatic platform screen doors are not only important for safety on platforms, but also effectively support fast passenger embarking and disembarking because the door positions are known even before the train arrives. Platform screen doors are suitable both for driverless trains and for traditional trains, where they significantly ease the driver’s workload. 
Siemens offers a complete control and drive solution for this purpose, consisting of the innovative SIDOOR ATE530S door controller in combination with the MED280 EC motors. Thanks to the possibility of communication via PROFINET, this modern overall drive can be integrated in the control technology of a platform without a significant workload and can be configured and assigned parameters by means of the TIA Portal engineering framework.

Interior railway doors

Interior railway doors feature a push-to-open and push-to-close function: when the door is pulled manually in the open or close direction by more than 2 cm, the controller automatically recognizes the OPEN DOOR/CLOSE DOOR command. This ensures safe and convenient operation of the doors.
