General information and limitations
We worked really hard to bring the Unified Comfort Panels to the market. Despite our greatest efforts, some software features did not make it to the first release version. But no worries, we are definitely going to fix this with one of the following updates. Please be aware of the following topics:1. Differences between simulation in engineering and device runtime
Depending on the functionalities you are using, it may happen, that the simulation may behave slightly different compared to the runtime on the Unified Comfort Panel. Which functionalities are affected can be found here.
2. Differences between engineering and runtime functionality
We already activated some functionalitiesin the engineering that are not yet available on the device. That allows us to deliver this functionality just by providing a new firmware for the devices. There will be no need for you to get a new TIA Portal version. Which functionalities are affected can be found here.
Installation
We always recommend to use the latest version of our TIA Portal Engineering Framework. The SIMATIC HMI Unified Comfort Panels are available from TIA Portal V16. For the download of the project to the device you need at least Update 1. Make sure, that you have installed the latest update to your engineering station. To do so, please use the Automation Software Updater, or the download the latest update from Siemens Industry Online Support here.Demo projects
Projects that include a large number of the functions of WinCC Unified and the Unified Comfort Panels. The projects are available for all display sizes of the Unified Comfort Panels.
Data2Unified Add-In
If you are already working in TIA Portal and you have some existing projects, this Add-In can help you to convert some existing data to WinCC Unified.
