Want some more information about the Finance Excellence Program? Here are some of our most asked questions. If you still can’t find what you’re looking for, drop us an email at – where a member of the Program Office will happily advise you.

The FEP was initiated in 2008 by Joe Kaeser, now Siemens President and CEO, and his Finance Leadership Team. Together, they have been promoting and supporting the program and their participants ever since.

We recruit throughout the year so there’s no set deadline. However some deadlines may be set by business schools.

You’ll receive a permanent employment contract with Siemens AG in Germany. This is part of our commitment to your finance career with us.

There’s no fixed entry date – we have a rolling intake and the flexibility to have you start at the beginning of the next month.

Of course. We’ll support you (including your partner and children) with your relocation. We can also help with any visas and resident registration.

Assignments are individually selected based on your background, interests and prior experience. That way we can make sure you have the best chance of developing. It really is tailor-made.

You’ll encounter a range of challenging assignments in various finance-related functions like asset, risk, or liquidity management, to resolving complex issues in our Financial Statements, Reporting, or Controlling units.

The FEP is a global program and we want to show the opportunities available to you by working at Siemens. We’ll identify opportunities across the globe, in any of the 190 countries we operate in. At least one assignment should be taken in Germany to give you an understanding of how the business networks from its headquarters. After that, the world is your oyster. In the past, people have found themselves in places like China, South Africa, Brazil, the USA and Russia.

You’ll receive regular feedback and performance evaluations throughout the FEP, helping you to stay on track. When you successfully graduate, you’ll be offered a permanent role within Siemens which suits your personal development plan. Once your position is confirmed, you’ll take part in an official graduation ceremony officiated by the top CFOs of Siemens.

We’ve specifically designed a training program for those of the FEP course which takes place at the Siemens Global Leadership Centre. You’ll cover standard leadership and finance-related topics as well as individual coaching. You can also attend language immersion classes when taking up assignments abroad, including German language classes at the start of the program. We’ll also assign you one of our finance executives to mentor you throughout your time with us.

We offer a competitive salary package reflecting the high quality of the candidates.
