Our long-term commitment to Singapore
Ever since the company was founded 110 years ago, corporate responsibility programs at the local levels have sought to contribute to the communities where we live and work. While the focus of these activities has varied, one thing has never changed: Siemens has always demonstrated a strong commitment to society.
This commitment continues today through the Siemens Caring Hands program, a company-wide program to help people in need. It involves voluntary work, partnerships and disaster relief. In Singapore, employees are given a day off each year to engage in community work. Throughout the year, employees go out in teams to spend time with underprivileged old folks, children and handicapped, volunteer at various charities’ functions, and clean up the island-nation’s beaches, among many other activities.
