Fire protection network

Reliable data transmission throughout the system

For faultless communication throughout the fire protection system, our systems include three distinct network types specialized either on linking detectors, panels and terminals, or panel/terminal clusters. All of them rely on the latest network technology and redundant system architecture for maximum reliability.

Detector network

Linking detectors via detector bus

Our fire detectors are linked via a modern, multi-purpose detector bus system. All detectors and peripheral devices share the same loop. This allows for flexible planning and installation as well as rapid, fail-safe communication between the bus elements and the fire control panel. Connected devices are supplied with power directly via the network, so no additional cabling is required.

Panel/terminal cluster

Linking panels and terminals

Fire control panels and operator terminals are networked together in clusters of up to 32 devices. The innovative, redundant network architecture with two-wire circular wiring (copper or fibre-optic cable) is extremely fail-safe while setting standards in terms of fast data transmission.

Inter-cluster network

Linking clusters via backbone

Up to 14 individual panel/terminal clusters can be networked via an EN 54-approved fiber-optic backbone. This is an ideal solution for large and complex applications such as university campuses. Thanks to the redundant system layout with circular wiring and two Ethernet switches, the backbone meets the highest industrial standards.
