Overview of the Pensioner Nominated Trustee Director (PNTD) vacancy
During 2020, we are appointing a number of new Trustee Directors to the Board of the Siemens Benefits Scheme, including one PNTD.
Successful Trustee Directors are people who care about the wellbeing of their fellow Scheme members. They are progressive and positively focused individuals who have the ability to see the big picture and have Scheme members’ best interests at heart. They are people with a strong sense of professional commitment who are comfortable with the responsibility and accountability and never act purely on their own self-interest.
Each candidate needs to have their nomination supported by five other pensioners of the Scheme. If a candidate has lost contact with former colleagues, the Member Services Team will assist them by forwarding on requests to support a nomination to a list of no more than 10 pensioners. Candidates will also need to explain what makes them suitable to be a Pensioner Nominated Trustee Director.
What is a Siemens Benefits Scheme PNTD?
A PNTD is part of the Board that has overall control of how the Pension Scheme is managed, and is part of a group that use their collective skills and experience to ensure the smooth running of the Scheme, acting in the members’ best interests at all times.
A PNTD is appointed for a period of four years, but can resign from office at any time.
Who can become a PNTD?
PNTD applicants will be highly motivated, enthusiastic and and in receipt of a pension from the Siemens Benefits Scheme. Applicants need to have their nomination supported by 5 other pensioners of the Scheme.
