Back to the future

If you’ve been out of the workplace for two years or more, our Return to Work scheme is the ideal way to build on where you’ve been and look forward to what your future could be like.

Refresh your skills, reinvent your career.

Returning to work after a career break can be a daunting prospect. Don’t worry. We’ve designed our scheme to be the perfect way for you to ease your way back into the world of work. We think we’ve struck the ideal balance.    On the one hand, we’ve created a scheme that will add meaningfully to your skills and equip you for the potential challenges ahead. On the other, we’re mindful of the pressures of taking on too much, too soon. So there are a range of support networks in place to help you feel as comfortable as possible.   We’re aware of your personal commitments too. So we’ll be as flexible as we can and talk about the best way to balance your needs with the demands of the role.
Applications have now closed. We’ll open again in March 2020.

Is this right for me?

This six-month scheme is for anyone returning to work after at least two years away from the workplace. Maybe you’ve taken a break to have and/or raise children. Perhaps you’ve been a long term carer. You could have been ill yourself. Whatever the reason for your career break, we’re sure it’s been a learning experience in itself.

We’re looking for people from a range of backgrounds covering engineering, sales, project management, operations, finance and data analysts.

Scheme in-depth

The scheme starts with a two-day orientation event. You’ll get to connect with your scheme colleagues and our kick-off meeting will give you an insight into life at Siemens. There’ll also be some group coaching sessions and networking opportunities. You’ll have a development planning session with your manager and will also have the option to complete two face-to-face learning modules. One of these can be self-selected based on your personal preference from a portfolio of options. Further into the programme there will be a ‘Reconnect’ group to bring all Returners back together to share your experiences.
