Congratulations! An internship at Siemens can be one of life’s defining moments. It gives you the chance to move beyond the theory and experimentation of your degree, and learn how to manage projects that will impact the future of millions. Sounds big, but don’t worry. You’ll have our support then, and we’re here to prepare you now.
Be here. Be there. Be everywhere.
There’s nowhere better to perfect your trade and find your purpose. Siemens is a universal name in engineering, pioneering the technology and business expertise that makes whole cities, countries and continents smarter and more sustainable. From sleek transportation systems to energy production to software and the Internet-of-Things, you can make your mark on a big, wide world. One that moves more intelligently, and even, autonomously.
Here are some interns who joined Siemens and haven't looked back since. You could acheive all this and more!
This internship is a proper job complemented by several exciting training modules, each taking you a step closer to being the best all-round professional you can be. Let’s remind ourselves what makes them so unique.
Some of our key locations are:
- Euston, London
- Stoke Poges
Right in between the buzzing towns of Leicester and Derby, we’re situated in the quaint village of Ashby-de-la-Zouch. Our modern site has everything you need, from a café and canteen where you can catch-up with the other grads, to a wellbeing room to recharge your batteries. Everyone says it feel like a tight community whilst having enough space to explore your capabilities. And outside of work in the town, there’s a leisure centre where co-workers can play sports and there are restaurants, bars and shops if you’re feeling social.
Not far from the beautiful city of Bath and with easy access from Swindon, our Chippenham site is a great place to be. Here, our graduates really enjoy experiencing Siemens together. You’ll often see them hanging out in the on-site café, talking to everyone from apprentices to senior leadership. It’s a very down-to-earth culture. And there’s plenty to keep you entertained. There are on-site exercise bikes, showers and changing rooms; social groups and sport classes; nice places to go for lunch; and a few famous pubs we like to go to on Fridays!
We’re out in the fresh air of your typical Cheshire village. You can live in any of the bigger surrounding towns, from Chester to Macclesfield and even Manchester while still getting here easily enough. And whilst it’s nice to see some of the country, we also have everything you need here. Everyone knows everyone and our grads say they feel like a family. So you can often find us socialising in our on-site café and restaurant, or going down to the nearby gym where we all get a discount. And, obviously, there’s always time for the pub on Fridays if you fancy it!
One of our biggest, most lively sites, it’s easy to get to by hopping on the shuttle bus from Farnborough station, or there’s plenty of parking if you come by car. We have our own gym, meet up in our canteen for a delicious lunch and relax in our on-site Starbucks whenever we feel like. And if it’s your kind of thing, after a busy week, the pubs and clubs of Reading and Guildford are nearby, where our grads (and those wishing they were still grads!) like to hang out.
We’re right in the heart of this exciting, modern city. So much so, you can’t help but be inspired by its diverse energy. We’re connected by all the city centre train stations, so it’s an easy journey into work. And once you’re here, you’ll join a welcoming and down-to-earth group of people who you can learn from and have fun with, regardless of how senior they are. Our grads are always complimenting us on our culture, which makes it easier to build friendships and enjoy everything Glasgow has to offer.
You’re going to have a lot of experiences to remember here. Obviously, the main draw is that we’re as central to London as you can get. Being here means you can travel in if you choose to live outside, or be anywhere in London within 30mins if you decide to live amongst The Big Smoke. Either way, you’ll be mixing with a great group of grads, all serious about their ambitions, but most of whom are more than ready to be social. Which we encourage when you’ve literally got it all on your doorstep and the keys to the city.
This is Siemens UK HQ and one of our most exciting locations. We’re close enough to the city centre so you can live amongst its incredible scene or travel in by train, but just enough outside that you could live in one of the city’s attractive suburbs. As for our offices, we have everything on site for you. Grads included, we all hang out together in The Beehive restaurant, serving a seriously tasty and changing menu which is subsidised. Plus, our sports groups, wellness room, coffee machines and nearby pubs and restaurants are all here for us to live our experiences to the fullest together.
This is a really convenient spot to work. We’re barely a 15 minute walk from the town centre, which means you’ll have access to everything – on-site and all around us. You can often find our grads socialising in the canteen or by the food vans on their breaks, or walking into town to do a bit of shopping and grab a pub lunch. We’re always saying what a great vibe and culture there is to the place. We even get involved in sports groups and different classes together, so it’s easy to unwind and get to know the people you’re working with.
This is a lovely part of the south coast to work on. We’re right by the buzzing beachside hub of Bournemouth, but also have the space we need to work. Plus, we have loads on-site. Our grads love to socialise and brainstorm ideas in our café and restaurant. And after work, a fair few of us take part in sports teams and running clubs. There’s a good range of people here with great personalities to either match your own, or bring you out of your shell. It’s a nice, easy place to make friends and grow in every respect.
You can find us at the heart of Southampton near to town and by the river. It’s a great spot if your programme revolves around Mobility, as it’s a hub for taking a tour of our trains. But it’s not just perfect for learning. We have an on-site café, restaurant and gym where our grads hang out and get to know each other. Plus, Southampton is easy to get to and from, and definitely an exciting place to live and socialise. We guarantee you’ll make experiences to remember here, both in and outside of work.
Whilst a quaint little village, Stoke Poges is where you can get a masterclass in financial services. We’re just outside London, so many of our grads avoid the rat race and enjoy a quiet rush hour travelling out of the city, while others live in the beautiful but lively towns nearby like Gerrard’s Cross and Beaconsfield. Either way, everyone knows we’re in a lovely area with great on-site facilities like our café and restaurant. So the culture is genuinely amazing, from getting together to go down to the pub, joining sports and social clubs, or making use of our access to a 9-hole golf course.
If you’ve ever been to York, you’ll know there aren’t many more beautiful or entertaining places to work. Our sites have everything you need, with a restaurant and gym where grads love getting together. But more than that, this city is a great place to socialise together, get inspired and have experiences to remember. We’ve created a nice, down-to-earth atmosphere where people of all levels are just regular people who you can learn from and have fun with. We’ll be seeing you!
BenefitsIt’s great getting paid while learning to excel in something you love. But as well as your salary, your graduate programme comes with plenty of other perks.
