A work experience placement is very often the first step taken into the world of work. At SFS, we are committed to nurturing young people and building a pipeline of young talent through our one-week placement programme for 16 to 18-year-old school students.
By undertaking tasks and job shadowing, you’ll gain insight into how a business runs, how different departments work together, and you’ll get to cultivate the skills and positive attitude required for the world of work.

SFS has a strong portfolio of education schemes and placements that includes the Higher Apprenticeship in Business Administration. The two-year programme combines study with hands-on training, which you will gain by rotating in key departments to learn how business operates. Once completed, you will have achieved a level 3 and Level 4 BTEC Diploma in Business Administration and a Level 4 NVQ Diploma.

What we need from you:
- A minimum of 4 G.C.S.E levels at grade 4 or above including Maths, English and Science
- 3 A Levels at grade C or above
- A willingness to challenge the status quo
- A desire to learn and contribute
If you’re a university undergraduate who has the drive to get ahead of the competition and learn from a respected global company, then a summer internship with SFS is just for you.
Our three-month, paid internship at our Stoke Poges offices will give you the opportunity to build your professional network and experience either strategic development, finance, risk, sales, compliance and marketing, all before you graduate!
You will need to be predicted to pass with a 2:2 or higher (some roles may require 2:1 or higher) and have an interest in the subjects above. You must have the ability to adapt, collaborate, solve problems and want to learn and help make a real difference.
At SFS, we offer a two-year graduate scheme to help you gain the skills and knowledge you will need to build a great career at Siemens.
You’ll be assigned a personal mentor to help you design your programme and establish where your career interests lie. Our business is hugely diverse, so it’s important you land in the right department from day one. We’re all about learning by doing, which means you’ll be integrated into day-to-day business as you move through the departments of sales, asset, risk, finance, throughout the scheme.
Our training will provide you with a successful start in your career. You’ll develop leadership skills, learn how to communicate effectively, gain valuable business knowledge, and have the chance to help us tackle some of our current challenges.
