Business development manager - Block discounting 

Tell us about your role at SFS

 

My role in the Siemens Block Discounting team is the day-to-day management of our larger client relationships (facility limits above £5.0m) and also supporting the wider Siemens Block Discounting team with the ‘on boarding’ of new client relationships. 

 

What makes you an expert?

 

I have worked in the banking and finance sector for over 30 years and have been involved with block discounting since the mid-1990’s. Throughout this period I have seen first-hand the positive impact that block funding can have on independent finance businesses and I have supported clients across a wide range of industry sectors.

 

What is your favourite thing about working for SFS?

 

Siemens is a fantastic business to work for. We take time to understand our customers businesses to ensure our products continue to work for them. There is a great team spirit throughout the Siemens business which I believe reflects through in our dealings with our customers.

 

Tell us a bit about yourself! 

 

I’m based in the North-West, my interests include cycling, walking, motorcycling, a good crime fiction novel and music of a certain era! (Bruce Springsteen, Pink Floyd to name just a couple).

 

What does the future hold for you and your team?

 

Throughout 2020 we have been focussed on supporting our existing clients through a turbulent / challenging year. SFS remains fully committed to the product and we are actively looking to attract new clients in order to grow our client base.
