Business development manager - Block discounting 

Tell us about your role at SFS

 

I am responsible for the day to day management of block discounting facilities with facility limits less than £5.0m. My role involves day-to-day management of existing facilities and supporting the block team with the ‘on boarding’ of new relationships.

 

What makes you an expert?

 

I am A.C.I.B Qualified and have worked in the banking sector since 1984, asset finance sector since 1994 and have 25 years block discounting experience.

 

What is your favourite thing about working for SFS?

 

Great team spirit within the Block team and the wider business.

 

Tell us a bit about yourself! 

 

Based in the North-West, interests include cycling, walking, motorcycling, a good crime fiction novel and music of a certain era! (Bruce Springsteen, Pink Floyd to name just a couple).

 

What does the future hold for you and your team?

 

Siemens is a technology company as much as a finance company and the advancement of digitalisation and the increasing use of Fintech within our business will bring added speed and agility in how we can help our customers.

Throughout 2020 we have been focussed on supporting our existing clients through a turbulent / challenging year. SFS remains fully committed to the product and we are actively looking to attract new clients in order to grow our client base.
