Head of sales (North), Invoice discounting

Tell us about your role at SFS

I am responsible for providing new Invoice Finance facilities to businesses across the North of the UK. Working with professional introducers, as well as making direct contact with businesses, I spend time understanding their specific needs and tailoring working capital facilities that generate the maximum value to our clients.

What makes you an expert?

Since leaving University, I have worked in roles that focus on generating value and delivering working capital. I’ve worked both for big banks as well as independent Invoice Finance providers. Having spent time with businesses spanning various sectors, I’ve gained experience of the sector-specific challenges many businesses face – the best part about my job is helping businesses resolve some of these challenges.

What is your favourite thing about working for SFS?

The best thing about working for Siemens Invoice Finance is the singular focus on delivering the best possible Invoice Finance facility. We are not a bank, we are not distracted by the need to capture additional share of wallet or security, we simply focus on delivering maximum value to our clients.

Tell us a bit about yourself!

I’m a father of 3 kids, married to Anna for 21 years and love spending time with friends and family. I’m a keen cyclist (MAMIL), enjoy walking in the Dales near where I live and am a lifelong Everton fan.

What does the future hold for you and your team?

We are living through very challenging times – we all see this daily. We are starting to understand what ‘normal’ means and it is a departure from what we knew previously. What remains however, is the need for businesses to access the value in their sales leger, pay their people and suppliers, gain advantages via early settlement discounts and retain control. This applies to all business sectors and we at Siemens Invoice Finance are ready, willing and able to support Clients new and existing in this endeavour.
