Tell us about your role at SFS
I am a Chartered Engineering now working in finance to help bridge the gap between these two important topics. In my role at Siemens I deliver finance solutions wrapped around technology, to make industry and infrastructure more sustainable, affordable and profitable. I enable this by talking to the client in great detail, asking a lot of questions and listening twice as hard, to really understand their needs and what we are solving for them.
What makes you an expert?
I am a chartered engineer just humbly trying to help make the world a better place, by joining the polar opposite worlds of engineering and finance to create great outcomes for our clients. These two worlds have a great opportunity to support each other and bridging the language between the two disciplines really helps to uncover the value we can deliver together.
What is your favourite thing about working for SFS?
Being part of a fantastic team where the power of our bank sits inside the engineering company, offering a combined solution our competitors cannot compete against. No one else has that inhouse technology and finance expertise working hand in hand.
Tell us a bit about yourself!
I love nature, the environment, spending time on the water and joyous times with my wife and children (even our stupid Whippet 😊).
What does the future hold for you and your team?
The future is in jeopardy if the world doesn’t wake up to the climate crisis. We’ll be pushing hard to make sure this message is heard and doing everything we can to support its progress. Supporting sustainable, ethical and environmentally friendly projects is at the fore front of our daily activities. As Siemens founder Werner von Siemens said well over 100 years ago “I will not sell the future for short-term profit” and that ethos is very much alive today here in Siemens.
