The quest for growth is one that inevitably brings new challenges that are not always easy to navigate. It is in situations like these where expert industry knowledge is indispensable and can mean the difference between success and failure. Therefore, it brings me great pleasure when I’m able to work closely with a business and help them make their goals come to fruition, as was the case with NutreeLife.

Over the previous year, plant-based snack manufacturer NutreeLife has seen significant growth and increased demand for its product. Naturally, the Lancashire based business sought to capitalise on this demand by investing in a new production line and thus turn this significant growth sustainable. Of course, as manufacturers well know this is easier said than done, especially in recent history where the added uncertainty created by the pandemic has made the existing problems faced by manufacturers all the more challenging.

The need to preserve cash flow for operational expenses balanced against the agility needed to survive in the pandemic meant that it was impossible for NutreeLife to invest significant capital up-front in new assets, meaning the company had to look elsewhere for funding. Although high in demand, NutreeLife was still relatively new to the market, making access to the right type of finance difficult.

It is important to emphasise the right type of finance, and this is where Siemens Financial Services (SFS) can help. Thanks to our team’s expert industry knowledge, we were able to tailor an agreement to NutreeLife’s specific requirements. Instead of committing capital up front, NutreeLife was able to access the new equipment immediately and spread the cost of the over 5 years, at the end of which it will own the equipment outright. This agreement also enabled the company to qualify for the government’s super-deduction tax initiative, whereby manufacturers investing in new production assets are able to claim back 130% of their value in year 1!

NutreeLife is an example of what the right kind of finance can give you, a competitive and indispensable advantage. Thanks to our financial expertise, NutreeLife has now tripled its rate of production. Whatever your industry, with the support of a specialist financier like SFS you don’t need to worry about the challenges of finance and can instead focus on other objectives. I focus primarily on the Siemens Industrial markets sector, working with Siemens companies, OEM’s and Solution Partners. I assist them in finding a financial solution for their customer that best suits their needs. This in turn gives them more options for their customer in the sales process. My experience in this sector allows me to offer flexible solutions to difficult questions.

Outside work I have two teenage girls in my house who keep me busy! I also coach ladies hockey in my spare time in the Surrey Prem league. I try to stay as fit as possible as well and play a bit of hockey myself when time allows.
