Siemens Recognizes 2020 Small Business Suppliers
On Nov. 18, Siemens honored its U.S. small and diverse business partners at the 4th Annual Small and Diverse Supplier Awards Ceremony, this year as a virtual networking event. The awards program is one of the ways Siemens expresses commitment to give businesses owned by minorities, women, veterans and other diverse suppliers maximum opportunity.
The ceremony kicked off with a safety moment and congratulations by CEO of Siemens USA Barbara Humpton. Afterward, Siemens USA Head of Diversity and Inclusion Nichelle Grant; Siemens VP and Head of Supply Chain Management USA Patric Stadtfeld; and Siemens Supplier Diversity Program Manager Natasha Vialva-Haynes; presented remarks. Eleven awards were handed out by Siemens Operating and Strategic Companies.

Siemens Supply Chain Management (SCM) has recently launched the Supplier Innovation Platforms (SIP) to drive key commpetitive advantage for the businesses. There are two platforms:
Digital Platform 1 - The NineSights Platform serves use cases in which Siemens is searching for specific solutions for specific technologies.
Digital Platform 2 - The SCM Supplier Innovation Platform opens marketplaces around our Siemens core technology fields, where our suppliers, start-ups or other external partners can place pro-actively new ideas or solutions.
